Gen’s enjoying time off work

On her recent visit to Delhi, Genelia D’Souza Deshmukh came dressed for a spring day and the chill in the air took her by surprise. “It is cold for me. I thought by now Delhi winter would be over, but I am surprised. Still I would say that you guys are lucky to get this cold as you get to dress up differently,” says Genelia, wife of actor Riteish Deshmukh.

Talking about her life after marriage, Genelia says she is still enjoying the break. “I haven’t signed any movie after marriage, but it is not that I won’t. It’s been 10 years that I am working non-stop. I was doing movies in five different industries. However, in North, everyone thinks that I am doing just one movie a year. But I was working all 365 days,” says Genelia, who completed a year of marriage earlier this month.

If not on silver screen, Genelia is regularly seen at the ongoing Celebrity Cricket League. “It had been a hectic month for us as we have just bought a team (Veer Marathi), and a lot of preparation goes into it. Since it is Marathi industry stars that have come together, Riteish and I are deeply involved in it. I have known Riteish for ten years; I’d like to be his support always. He has left the choice to me. It is not mandatory that I be the brand ambassador for the team, but it is something that I enjoy doing,” ends Genelia.
